The Department of Computer Science will have its new home at the Science and Engineering complex of the University in front of National Institute of Geological Sciences (NIGS). The upper two levels of the four-storey building will house eight R&D groups with at least 15 computers each, four teaching and public access laboratories with 30 computers each, one 90-seater lecture hall, four 30-seater classrooms, faculty and other support rooms. The lower two levels will be occupied by the Computer Science and Electronics and Electrical Engineering collection of College of Engineering Library. The envisioned modern facilities will be of great aid to learning, research and development initiatives of the department.
